After the war, Daniel Stuart held several conducting positions. He was a pioneer of military band broadcasts over the British Broadcasting Corporation and also led the London Wireless Orchestra. He was appointed to a conducting position in Durban, South Africa, in 1928 and died there on April 24, 1935.
