Albin Strebel was born on September 7, 1928, in Dietikon, Switzerland. He majored in trumpet at the Zurich Conservatory and led several bands in Raum Zurich/Aargau. From 1972-1985, he led the band in Wohlen, and, beginning in 1986, he was conductor of the Aarau band.
