Carl H. Metz was a noted American cornet soloist and bandmaster in the early part of the 20th century. In 1901, he was leader of the 17-piece Dixie Military Band. In 1905, he moved to Isle of Palms, Charleston, South Carolina, as cornet soloist and leader.
